Our Client in the Dayton, NJ Area is looking for a 1st shift Maintenance Technician focused in PLC's for a industrial manufacturing company.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery.
Replace or repair parts on various machines, such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, switches, and other electrical components.
Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to identify sources of trouble.
Disassemble devices to access and remove faulty parts, inspecting their form and texture to identify imperfections.
Inspect used parts to assess changes in dimensional requirements.
Adjust functional components of devices and control instruments, replacing or repairing defective parts and installing specialized functional and structural parts as needed.
Initiate purchase orders for necessary parts and equipment, while also performing lubrication and cleaning tasks.
Conduct performance tests on devices to ensure proper functionality.
Participate in an on-call program and work additional hours as required.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a secure work environment.
Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); along with at least one year of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Thorough understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and the ability to troubleshoot PLC systems.
Preferred Electrician's License, though not mandatory.
Proficiency in machine setup, troubleshooting equipment failures, and performing repair and preventive maintenance services, while strictly adhering to safety procedures.
Strong expertise in PLC troubleshooting, including the ability to read and program code.
Sound comprehension of electrical controls, mechanical assembly, plumbing, and HVAC-related control systems.
Capability to interpret electrical control and mechanical assembly drawings, as well as service manuals for various equipment.
Skill in diagnosing and resolving both electrical and mechanical problems associated with production and facility equipment within tight timeframes.
Ability to swiftly address equipment malfunctions and restore functionality during emergency breakdowns.
