Summary:
The primary purpose of the role is to effectively manage the shipments to both our internal and external customers to ensure a 100% on-time rate and 100% accuracy rate.
The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction, while adhering to all company and department policies, procedures and processes.
JOB
Responsibilities:
Responsible for adhering to customer shipping guidelines especially for edi compliant customers which requires booking outbound shipments using various portals, documents, etc Use WMS to track, check, prioritize and route orders Ensure all important documents such as advanced shipping notice, pack slips, bills of ladings are affixed to pallets Complete all shipping documents for both domestic and international shipments including hazmat documentation.
Run checks on already packaged shipments to make sure that the proper labels, bar codes,etc are placed on them Organize and systematically file important documents that can be needed for claims process Collaborating with internal departments to optimize the flow of orders from preparation to shipment.
Communicate directly with internal & external teams as necessary to answer questions, relay shipping updates, and handle complaints calmly and efficiently.
Identify shipping issues and implement solutions in a timely manner Closely supervise/monitor the productivity levels of the shipping staff in order to make sure that goals/targets are reached Resolve all shipping-related issues that may arise in the company Documenting processes and reporting to management as required Work with Operations Manager to ensure they are cross trained in other operational areas Supplies and department organization Ensure supplies are ordered timely to cover business needs Ensure work stations are stocked and organized daily Ensure both the shipping floor area and shipping office are cleaned and organized daily Maintain NADC cleaning and safety standards KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

EDUCATION High School diploma or equivalent required College education preferred EXPERIENCE 5
years in a similar role SKILLS Good communication and interpersonal skills are highly required Excellent organizational and coordinating abilities Ability to work as part of a team or even as a leader of a team Must be a person that pays attention to even the smallest of details when dealing with customers' orders Problem-solving abilities on all fronts Must be someone that is able to multitask and carry out his/her duties based on priorities Able to use email system to communicate both internally and externally Microsoft Office Suite - intermediate level excel Warehouse Management System knowledge (Manhattan Scale preferred) - advanced level English, bilingual English / Spanish preferred PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Availability must be 6:
